Introduction:

Dr. Govind Desai is an esteemed Interventional Pulmonologist with a strong academic foundation. He completed his post-graduation at S N Medical College, Jodhpur, and gained further experience through a senior residency at AIIMS, Jodhpur. Dr. Desai further specialised in Interventional Pulmonology with a Fellowship at Metro Center For Respiratory Diseases, Noida. He holds the distinction of being the first Interventional Pulmonologist from North Karnataka and has introduced innovative procedures in the region.

Contributed as author for Microsoft Bing and Focus Medica by providing information for more than 50 Respiratory conditions. Chapter Authored a chapter on “Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis” for the book “Monographs in ILD” by the Association of Physicians of India (API). 

 

Medical Breakthrough:

Pioneered the first Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS-TBNA) and Endobronchial Y-SEMS stent placement in North Karnataka, marking a significant advancement in interventional pulmonology in the region.
